Carmelo is headed to the Chicago Bulls,  however  he reportedly won't play any games with the team. League sources say the Bulls will trade or waive him by the trade deadline on February 7th.

With the Bulls expected to release Melo, he will become a free agent after he clears waivers. This could allow Anthony time to see what team best fits him for the future. Due to Martin Luther King Day,  the deal won't officially go through until Tuesday after the holiday.

Sources say the Los Angeles Lakers have an interest in Anthony "but have no plans to waive a player to create an available roster spot for him".
