Join The People's Station, as we cheer on the youth playing in the Stop the Madness Basketball Tournament this Sunday, March 19th!

Buffalo City Council Members Darius G. Pridgen, Rasheed N.C. Wyatt, Ulysees O. Wingo, Sr. and Richard Fontana have teamed up to create the first Stop the Madness Basketball Tournament, to empower the youth to say 'NO' to violence! It is FREE to attend!

Come out and register to win tickets to see Future, May 24th and Chance the Rapper, May 31st, both at Darien Lake! There will also be giveaways, half-time shows, and information on City services at the game! WBLK will also be there with giveaways and your chance to win tickets! The tournament will be at William Emslie YMCA at 585 William Street at 10 am!

Each district needs youth in 6th through 8th grade to join a team to play a game in their district on Saturday, March 18th! The winning team from those games will move on to the finals on Sunday, March 19th at William Emslie YMCA at 585 William Street, with registration starting at 9 am and the event beginning at 10 am.

The information for each district’s games are as follows:

* Ellicott District games will be held on Saturday, March 18th, at 422 Pratt Street with registration starting at 11:30 am and games starting at 1 pm. For more information or if you are looking to participate, please call the Ellicott District office at 716-851-4980.

* Masten District games will be held on Saturday, March 18th, at 877 E. Delavan Avenue with registration starting at 11 am and games starting at 12 pm. For more information or if you are looking to participate, please call the Masten District office at 716-851-5145.

* University District games will be held on Saturday, March 18th, at 2777 Bailey Avenue with registration starting at 11 am and games starting at 12 pm. For more information or if you are looking to participate, please call the University District office at 716-851-5165.

* Lovejoy District games are TBD for Saturday, March 18th. For more information or if you are looking to participate, please call the Lovejoy District office at 716-851-5151.
