This is sad news, today the Cali Swag District lost another member, Jayare.

If you recall, the group recently suffered the loss of another member M Bone in a drive by shooting in California. Today, the group got sad news that it has lost another member, Jayare, who was battling sickle cell anemia. From me to the group and the families of these kids, I wish you strength through your time of grief. I admire Jayare’s strength being able to fight his disease and make music all of this time. Bless you brother.

From Billboard:

Jayare, a member of Inglewood, Calif., rap group Cali Swag District, died on Friday at 25 years old.

Cali Swag District Spreads ‘Dougie’ Fever

Jayare, whose real name was Cahron Childs, suffered from sickle cell anemia and was admitted to the hospital on Thursday night, according to a source who spoke to MTV News. While there, he fell into cardiac arrest and died.
On Friday, Cali Swag member Corey “Smoove Da General” Fowler tweeted about his fallen friend and musical collaborator. “Rest in peace Jayare I’m gonna miss u forever ..I will never get over this..but I know God got u..and I know You got me,” he wrote.

Cali Swag District exploded on the music scene in 2010 with their first single, “Teach Me How to Dougie,” which not only peaked at No. 6 on Billboard’s rap singles chart, but also spawned the biggest dance phenomenon since Soulja Boy’s “Crank Dat” back in 2007.
