Seven people were killed in Buffalo during the month of September, according to the Buffalo News. August had the same number of deaths. If the homicides stay on pace, there will have been 52 deaths by year's end or an average of one per week. According to a Buffalo News analysis of Buffalo police reports at least 227 people have been shot so far, with this year 32 of them dying.
