Buffalo Homicides Lowest In 10 Years
The murders in Buffalo in 2011 fell to its lowest point in 10 years. Although one homicide is too many, something special is happening in Buffalo and whatever is we should all stay the course and steer in a positive direction.
One of the many things that we have attempted to do here at The People’s Station 93.7 WBLK is to raise the level of awareness of what it means to “Know Thyself” and how we should all be proud of who we are and the value of life and how we relate to it!
Local police authorities attribute the decline to the efforts that they have made to target specifics groups and gangs of individuals and I think that is great; but I also think that it is a joint effort of any and all individuals and organizations that put forth an effort towards positive change in our community.
Yes this is good news indeed, but we still have a very long way to go and in the words of my good friend Kaba Hiawatha Kamene: “It’s not over until We Win”.
