Yup its on and poping  as the Buffalo Common Council quickly changing the parking laws which they  just passed on December 26th. Welcome to parking in 2019 in downtown Buffalo.

After a on-line petition signed by over 25,000 people on-line they really didn't have any choice because the criticism would have just increased because the actual extended paid parking hours after 5pm anywhere downtown was nuts.  The Mayor and Common Council had to make adjustments but my thing is why did they think this was a good idea in the first place. With the new rules "Parking is now free after 5 p.m. and on Saturdays" according to WGRZ.

With things subject to chance if there is a  special events in the city at Canalside, Keybank Center, Sahlen Field, or the Theater District, you will have to pay for parking until 10 pm Monday through Saturday, which still has me scratching my heard because the main reason people come downtown is for the special events. On those special event days the new hourly rate of $2 an hour is still in effect. Parking will forever be a issue with downtown Buffalo, but I guess we have to start somewhere.
