On Sunday, April 21, Buffalo runners will unite in support of those affected by the Boston Marathon tragedy.

The event will start at 9 a.m. and last until 12 p.m. All are welcomed to participate. There is no pre-registration required.

The event, organized by marathon runner Beth Weinberg, will allow those interested to gather in Delaware Park, take a few laps around the course, and make donations to the American Red Cross.

"I think it's hard to know how to help right now because we're still trying to figure out who did this and why and how and everything. I think people are just looking for a way to come together and to feel like they're helping,"

- Beth Weinberg

Participants can gather at the Nottingham entrance of Delaware Park near the golf course.

Buffalo also has a huge marathon on May 26. They are also hoping that people will come together in tribute to the Boston marathon for this event. Since the tragedy in Boston happened, during the Buffalo race, there will be extended security.
