This probably isn't that surprising but Marvel's Ryan Coolger-helmed blockbuster, Black Pantheris the most tweeted about movie ever.

According to Twitter, the film has been tweeted more than 35 million times, pushing it ahead of the previous record-holder, Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Already the film has smashed box office records, and has grossed over $1.2 billion worldwide. The movie also became the first film since 2009's Avatar to top the box office in North America five straight weekends, and is soon expected to pass The Avengers as the highest-grossing superhero film ever.

Obviously the references to Wakanda, the men in the movie, and just its overall celebration of blackness, has been a high point for folks on Twitter since the film opened back in February, and with due cause. And because it is a cultural phenomenon, that probably won't end any time in the near future.

Last week, fans received another dose of excitement when Black Panther was featured in the trailer for the upcoming film, Avengers: Infinity WarT'Challa and the Wakandans were shown on the battlefield read to go to war for the cause alongside Captain America and the rest of the gang. That film hits theaters on April 7.
