Variety reports that Beyoncé is director Jon Favreau's top choice to voice the character of Nala in the remake of The Lion King.

While nothing has been confirmed as of yet, sources say that Favreau is willing to do whatever to accommodate Beyoncé's schedule, since she's currently pregnant with twins and her schedule obviously has shifted.

However, if Bey is able to officially sign on for the live-action remake, it would be a huge score. Already the cast is impressive— Donald Glover is on board to voice the lead character, Simba, and James Earl Jones will reprise his role as Simba's dad, Mufasa.

The Lion King was originally released in 1994, and remains one of the highest-grossing animated films of all time, earning $968.5 million worldwide. If Beyoncé accepts, this will be her first role since she voiced a character in Fox's animated film, Epic.
