BET Is Cancelling Being Mary Jane [The 411 With ADRI V. THE GO GETTA]
Being Mary Jane follows Mary Jane Paul, a successful news anchor as she navigates life dealing with issues in her personal life, professional life and more. The show has become a staple on the BET network and for its viewers, as it tackles real-life issues that women go through all the time. The show starring Gabrielle Union will come to an end after 4 seasons on the network. Season 4 wrapped up last month and BET released a statement saying that the show will not return for a 5th season but there will be a movie that will air in 2018 that will serve as the series finale and will answer all questions about every cast member.
In an Instagram post, Gabby thanked all the fans for being apart of this journey with her and said that her role as Mary Jane is one of her favorites.
News about the cancellation of Being Mary Jane comes after the announcement of 2 new shows transferring from VH1 to BET. The dance show Hit The Floor and 90s themed series The Breaks will be returning for new seasons on a new station.
