Bath Salts Banned from Stores! [Video]

Gov. Cuomo held a press conference today in Buffalo to announce a crackdown on “bath salts" and other synthetic drugs, which have become a fast-growing crisis across the nation since the start of the "Zombie Apocalypse". 

Have you been to a smoke shop, liquor store or grocery store and seen little packages of “Mr. Happy," “California Dreams" or “Mr. Nice Guy"?

These seemly harmless products known as Bath Salts – have the complete opposite effect as the skin smoothing rocks you put in your bath tub. The reality is these are mind-altering drugs with the same effects as cocaine- including hallucinations, paranoia, delusions and suicidal thoughts. Oh and don't forget the "excited delirium" aka the Zombie affect!

So how did “Mr Happy make his way to your corner store? The manufacturer found a way to use legal chemicals to achieve the same results as illegal drugs, allowing distributors to sell them openly without criminal penalty.

But now, new state health department regulations makes it illegal to buy or sell these synthetic drugs, with violators facing up to $500 in fines and up to 15 days in jail,

The Governor also announced a new toll-free tip line 1-888-99SALTS (1-888-997-2587). Individuals with information about illegal distribution of bath salts or synthetic drugs are encouraged to call this hotline.
