Don’t be feeling sorry for teenage rap dynamo Astro, who was voted off ‘X Factor‘ straightaway last night for having the lowest amount of votes from the viewing audience. The kid has reportedly signed to Jay-Z‘s Roc-Nation label already.
Oh baby! Remember those pesky rumors that Beyonce isn’t really pregnant and that she has been wearing a prosthetic baby bump? Yeah, we know, we had forgotten about them, too, since they were so preposterous. Well, it turns out that Bey filmed a video about all the hype surrounding her pregnancy during which she chants “Oh baby” dramatically. While it’s not exactly a response to those ridiculous rumors, it’s an example of Bey’s amazing sense of humor about the matter.
Oh Twitter. You unite as much as you divide. The latest divas to engage in a war of the words confined to 140 characters are Nicki Minaj and Cher. To be fair, it wasn’t exactly Minaj and Cher directly exchanging words or verbal barbs. It was Minaj’s Barbs — her pet name for her fans — who started spouting off to Cher. It had the makings of a mini feud, but the drama between these wig lovers seems to have died down with relative quickness.
Most of us were spending time with our families for Thanksgiving yesterday and in honor of the big holiday, Rihanna shared a video via Who Say of her spending time with her family, namely her mother, her little brother and her “Gran Gran.”
A new Google product is officially upon us and it’s Google Music. The Beta version was available for a good chunk of time and it allowed users to upload up to 20,000 songs, free of charge, to the cloud, so it could be streamed no matter the user’s location. Well, now the service has been upgraded with the launch and there is so much content and convenience that will be yours for the taking.
Rihanna is feeling the American version of ‘X Factor.’ The pop diva is scheduled to perform on the results episode of the show this week, which airs on Thursday, Nov. 17. This marks RiRi’s second go-round on the show since the debut season kicked off in September.
The Conrad Murray verdict was handed down a week ago (Nov. 7), with the doctor being found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the case of Michael Jackson. Murray came under fire for administering the surgical anesthetic propofol to the singer outside of the operating room, which killed him.
Now, Frank Cascio, who was once the King of Pop’s personal assistant and manager, has written a tell-all book that makes the blockbuster claim that the singer began taking the dangerous drug as far back as 1999, well before he met and hired Dr. Murray.
Justin Bieber and Tinie Tempah are two fine young gentlemen with tons of talent. That’s why they are teaming up for a holiday TV special for ITV in the U.K. Both pop stars tweeted the exciting news about their collab.
Rihanna has generously (and smartly) shared 30-second snippets of 11 songs from ‘Talk That Talk,’ which drops Nov. 21. The snippets are super short, but they certainly offer a satisfying taste of what to expect and what’s to come on the new album!
Now that a guilty verdict has been handed down in the case of Dr. Conrad Murray, who was accused of involuntary manslaughter regarding his patient Michael Jackson, the doctor has been remanded to custody and was promptly placed on suicide watch in the L.A. County Jail while he awaits sentencing. Murray’s sentencing is slated for Nov. 29.
Rick Ross sure knows how to make an entrance. The rapper, who suffered two seizures last month, which were shrouded in mystery, appeared on BET’s ’106 & Park’ to drop two bombshells, both of which will make his fans happy.
First, he’s okay. He was suffering from sleep deprivation and lack of shut-eye caused him to have that pair of seizures, which had the whole hip-hop scene worried about his overall health. Secondly, he just wrapped a collab with Jay-Z! Holla!
