This week we feature the legendary Isley Brothers a trio of brothers from Cincinnati: O'Kelly, Rudolph and Ronald Isley.

Added younger brothers Ernie and Marvin Isley and cousin Chris Jasper in September of 1969.

They were the first black artist or group to form their own record label T-Neck also in 1969.

Of course they enjoyed a string of hits from 1962 into the late 90's.

Their very first number #1 hit was "It's Your Thing" in 1969. It stayed at the top of the charts for four consecutive weeks and was certified gold.

Six years later in 1975 they produced their second #1 smash in the socially conscious "Fight The Power". (EXPLICIT)

The Isley's went on to stake their claim to five more number one songs over the next decade.

"The Pride",

"Take Me To The Next Phase",

"I Wanna Be With You",

"Don't Say Goodnight",

"Caravan Of Love" (Isley Jasper Isley).
