Samuel M. Jones, 26, of Amherst, was sentenced yesterday to ten years in state prison and five years of post-release supervision after pleading guilty to the July 2014 gunpoint robbery of an Amherst Jim's Steakout, according to Acting Erie County District Attorney Michael J. Flaherty Jr.

Jones has a prior violent felony conviction for attempted burglary and was sentenced as a second violent felony offender as a result, according to Flaherty.
