Aaliyah: One In A Million *BET Special Tribute*

Her music continues to touch lives and hearts like it was just released yesterday. BET has decided to air a special tribute show on August 25th, 2011.

I can’t believe it’s been 10 years since Aaliyah passed away. She was a beautiful soul and a whole lot of talent that, no doubt, would have given Beyonce some competition in today’s music game (not to knock the ladies who are killin’ the game right now).

The tribute show will feature commentary from  Timbaland (who did amazing work with her), Missy “Misdemeanor” Elliott (her closest friend in the music world), Patti Labelle, Kelly Rowland & more.

Tune into BET on Thursday August 25th at 8pm to be reminded of what a gem we had in Aaliyah. She is a legend and will forever be missed.
