This morning I ran across a very interesting project that the USA Network is doing where they put the spotlight on unique individuals in America that do not go through life quite the way that most people do. In one of the short films that they are presenting called “Duck”, about a 10 year old named Emmanuel who suffers from Haphephobia (a morbid dislike or fear of being touched) that is causing all kinds of problems in school and social settings for the young boy. His mom, when forced by Social Services to do something to fix the problem immediately or risk the possibility of outside intervention; takes her son to a boxing gym where the trainer discovers that Emmanuel has a very special gift. No two people are alike and we all have our special gifts and abilities that are sometimes hidden in plain sight.
