What is it with Buffalo and mob stories. We all know the tales of the Towne Ballroom, but that isn't the only place that might have unsettled spirits of gunmen. In the 1960s and 1970s, mobman John Cammillieri, who worked for Stefano Magaddino, was growing in power. This wasn't the best thing for the rising crime man, however.

In May of 1974, Cammillieri pulled into the parking lot of a restaurant at the corner of Rhode Island and Chenango (490 Rhode Island Street). When he stepped out of his car he was shot in the back of the head and his lower back.
