Look at god! Don't you hate when you chilling at home, minding your business and all of a sudden you get a text or call from your employer asking a bunch of questions and then you don't answer.

Welp, it’s not official yet, but a New York City bill that proposes fining employers for requiring their employees to respond to their texts/emails etc outside of their work hours is currently in talks.

Basically, your employer can still contact you—but if they press the issue on you not responding and leaving them on read, they could get hit with a fine because if you ain’t working you ain’t working. Its That Simple!

This bill does not include government employees—sorry boo! It would only apply to companies that have more than 10 employees.
