As Connecticut drafts a law to ban more than 100 types of weapons, following the tragedy at Newton elementary, a small city in northern Georgia was speeding in the opposite direction!

The Family Protection Ordinance that was approved unanimously by the city council in Nelson, GA, makes gun ownership mandatory for all heads of household. The ordinance makes exemptions for convicted felons, people with certain disabilities—and anybody who objects to gun ownership.

According to the council's agenda, the ordinance is also a move to block "any future attempt by the federal government to confiscate personal firearms."

The town has a population of 1,300 and only ONE police officer. The cop’s response time is too slow, so the city council figures it will make the residents play police, by mandating that the HOH own a gun and ammo to protect their family.

Let's hear directly from the residents..

With Every home owner in America owning a gun, our new reality could look something like this!
