Can you get into Character and make the world see you as one of the greatest acts of that era? Rules:
1. All interested parties must call Kole Porter at 716-852-9393 x322 to get an audition Placement number before 5:15pm Friday Oct 1st 2010 in order to be granted an audition. Be prepared to tell us what act you will perform, the song you will audition.
2. Auditions will include the performance one (1) song or 1 minute dance routine of your choice in front of a select panel of WBLK judges. Song performers must (Lip Sync) their song from start to finish during the audition. WBLK will provide the music via cd on site.
3. WBLK is looking for individuals or groups to perform (lip sync) (no singing required) in character to the following (but not limited to) the following groups or individuals:
The Jackson 5, The Temptations, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Tina Marie, Rick James, Gladys Knight & the Pips, Smoky Robinson, James Brown, Tina Turner, Diana Ross & the Supremes, Earth Wind & Fire, KC & the Sunshine Band, Barry White and more. Acts must be a 60’s or 70’s Soul, Funk or Disco artist.
4. All selected performers/dancers MUST perform in costume or band outfit at the Oct 23rd event. IT IS NOT required to audition in costume or band outfit on Oct 3rd. All performers are responsible for retaining their own costumes.
5. All acts interested in auditioning need only to perform one (1) song on Oct 3rd. Dancers will do a (1) minute routine with or without a partner.
6. Acts can bring a prop for their audition and or if they are selected to perform at the Oct 23rd event.
7. No act/dancer or individual can audition without prior sign up and obtaining a proper audition placement number.
8. Auditioning performers /dancers will be notified via phone and or email if they have been selected for the Oct 23rd event within 72 hours of the audition.
9. The decisions of the WBLK Judges selection of performers are final.
10. Auditions are open to anyone, U.S. or Canadian resident. Any Act/Dancer under 18 must have signed permission from parent or guardian if selected to perform at the Oct 23rd event.
