5 Year Old Fatally Shoots Herself While At Home Alone [VIDEO]

On Sunday, a New Orleans mother left her 5-year-old daughter at home while she went shopping.

Police officials say that the little girl found her mother's revolver and shot herself in the head. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The mother, Laderika Smith, is being charged with second-degree murder.

Is this just another case of parenting gone wrong?
