Unlike the Republican Convention, I had a ball watching the Democratic National Convention (DNC) last night! The colorful wardrobe and sparkly hats in the audience and the various shades of brown skinned speakers at the podium was invigorating and inspiring!

For those of you who didn't watch it, check out the 3 key speeches that made me proud to be an American.

The President proudly watches his wife deliver her  powerful speech on TV with his girls at the White House.

Michelle was the most popular woman in the room last night and she delivered a breath-taking testimony in favor of her husband, President Barack Obama. Watch it here.

Another inspiring moment came when two Latino twins shared their story of growing up in a single parent home and now they are both serving in American Politics. Watch the keynote speech from the Mayor of San Antonio, Julian Castro in the video clip above.

My favorite part of the night came when Gov. Romney's successor Gov. Patrick of Massachusetts took the stage! He used this national platform to inform us of the economic and social mess Romney made when he was Governor.

“Mitt Romney talks a lot about all the things he’s fixed. I can tell you that Massachusetts was not one of them,” Gov. Patrick said. “He’s a fine fellow and a great salesman, but as governor he was more interested in having the job than doing it.”

Patrick also and urged passive Americans to "Grow a Backbone" and not let President Obama be bullied out of office. Check out this fiery speech in the video above.
