All My Parents that read this I know this going to grind your gears.

What do you do when you can’t get a 2-year-old to settle down for a nap? Well:

Kristen Lauletta, 32, Jessica Heyse, 19, and 25 year old Ashley Helfenbein are teachers at Kiddie Junction child care center in Des Plaines, Illinois. They are currently facing two counts of endangering the life or health of a child and two counts of battery.

They thought that it was okay to give some children melatonin gummies without any consent from their parents! WOW

FYI Melatonin is a hormone that regulates sleep and wakefulness But is harmful and The Walgreens-brand gummies say on the label that they are not to be taken by anyone younger than 16.

“With children … it can affect puberty, disrupt menstrual cycles and impede normal hormonal development,” HuffPost reported.

According to the Washington Post They said they gave the gummies to these children

“in an effort to calm them down before nap time” and that “they did not think administering the melatonin laced gummies was inappropriate as they were an over-the-counter sleep aid.”

With a little bond only set $1,000. They are due back in court on April 4th.
