The tragic murders of Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G. will be retold in USA Network’s upcoming television series called Unsolved: The Murders of Biggie and Tupac. The producers of the drama have found two actors who will play the iconic rap figures.

Up-and-coming actors Marcc Rose and Wavyy Jonez will play ‘Pac and Biggie, respectively, in the series, according to Deadline. You might remember Rose’s brief portrayal of 2Pac in 2015’s N.W.A biopic, Straight Outta Compton. Meanwhile, Jonez is a newcomer and will make his acting debut playing Biggie after being discovered at a casting call.

Unsolved is a series based on the real-life experiences of LAPD detective Greg Kading, who was the leader of an investigative team assigned to solved the murders of 2Pac and Biggie. He would later write a book called Murder Rap: The Untold Story of Biggie Smalls & Tupac Shakur Murder Investigations, which detailed his thoughts on the two still-unsolved homicide cases. In an accompanying documentary, Kading believed that Diddy ordered a hit out on Tupac and Suge Knight. The Bad Boy Records CEO has since denied the allegations.

Rose and Jonez join previously announced cast members Josh Duhamel as Detective Kading, Jimmi Simpson as Detective Russell Poole and Bokeem Woodbine as Officer Daryn Dupree.

In related news, the 2Pac biopic, All Eyez on Me, will finally open in theaters on June 16, which would have been the late rapper's 46th birthday.
