2 Chainz is speaking out about being robbed at gunpoint earlier this summer and is giving some sound advice for those facing a similar situation.

So what does Deuce think someone should do if a gun was pointed in their direction? Run. Chainz spoke to The Village Voice about the incident, which was all caught on video.

"Let me tell you something. Anybody that tells you they wouldn't run hasn't been in situations like me," he states. "I've been a felon since I was 15. Most kids at that age might still be sleeping in the same bed with their siblings. I'm trying to grow to be a wiser person."

He goes on to ask the writer what he would do in a shootout and the writer responds with, "Run." Chainz continues, "Exactly. But you know I learned from the experience and like I said I'm striving to be a wiser person."

Fortunately for the 'Feds Watching' rapper, the robbery attempt failed and he wasn't seriously injured. “I saw the gun first,” 2 Chainz shared. “It was like a .357. It was so heavy he couldn’t really hold it. The gun was so big. That’s what made me take off running."

The southern spitter is currently prepping his sophomore album, 'B.O.A.T.S. II: Me Time,' for a Sept. 10 release.
